Chelsea have approached Inter Milan over the possibility of signing Antonio Candreva, according to The Sun.
Antonio Conte worked with Candreva during his time with the Italian national team, it look as though he’s keen to reunite with his compatriot this summer.
The Sun report that having missed out on Real Madrid right-back Danilo to Premier League counterparts Manchester City, Conte is now pursuing alternatives. Candreva is thought to be on that list.
As per The Sun, Inter are unwilling to part with Candreva this summer, and would rather sign Manchester United target Ivan Perisic. However, the Italian is thought to be keen on making the switch to the Premier League champions, who would be able to offer him a considerable pay-rise.
The Sun claim that Inter would demand a fee in the region of £23M in exchange for Candreva. It remains to be seen whether the club would be prepared to pay that fee for a 30-year-old.
