Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to the Mirror.
As per the Mirror, Antonio Conte is desperate to find a solution to his striker woes, having missed out on top target Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United.
The Italian’s pursuit of a new centre-forward does not appear to be getting any easier, as the Mirror report that Chelsea are also finding it difficult to secure the services of Real Madrid hitman Alvaro Morata.
There is a third name in the equation, however – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Mirror believe that the Gabonese international is determined to leave Dortmund this summer, with the Bundesliga heavyweights said to be resigned to losing him.
Chelsea appear to be looking to exploit the situation, with the tabloid reporting that the Premier League champions are confident that Aubameyang will be a Chelsea player come the end of the summer transfer window.
