Matt Law, who knows his stuff when it comes to all things Chelsea, has provided an update on our transfer dealings for the Telegraph.

Law writes that the Premier League champions are close to sealing the signings of both Tiemoue Bakayoko and Antonio Rudiger from AS Monaco and AS Roma respectively, with both players being booked in to undergo medicals.

It is reported that Chelsea are also in negotiations with Juventus over the possibility of signing Alex Sandro. Law believes that the club are confident that they will be able to agree a deal to sign the Brazilian this summer.

Law reports that Chelsea are also in the hunt for a new striker, having missed out on signing Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United. Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti are both thought to be potential options to replace Diego Costa in a starting role, with Fernando Llorente and Christian Benteke being lined up as back-ups.

It should be a busy few weeks.

  1. my darling club Chelsea delays a lot in signing .we ar in die need of new faces at d home of legends stadium_ Stamford bridge. .Morata or Aubameyang can fill d void or match d footsteps of Didier Drogba. .

  2. In all honesty, Lukaku was a blow to our pride more than anything else. Totally overpriced. He did well with the lesser teams, not sure of his effectiveness when playing in tight areas. Im convinced that for our team Morata or Belotti are a much better fit. Regarding Rudiger, great addition ! If we can reel in Bakayoko (apparantly imminent) and Sandro together with Morata or Belotti, I believe that we would be a force to be reckoned with, or even, favourites for significant silverware. If I may dream, under Conte, challengers for the CL !

  3. Lack of confirmed transfers is frustrating …I feel we shld go for jesse Rodrigues and Alvaro Morata as well both are young amd hv age on their side

  4. Seriously am not happy with the way Chelsea board has handled the transfer market so far this season, I believe they must have learnt some lessons from lukaku’s issue and how it went, this is the time to do business and get the best players that our team and the coach needs, more so the pre season games will start soon, we need to bring our team together on time before the new season starts.

  5. What a load of crap. Why can other clubs wrap up deals for their targets so quickly, even pinching them from under our nose while we sit back and procrastinate.

Lukaku was a fine deal, now looks set to go to Utd. Van Dijk was our priority cb now looks on the way to Everton.

Conte left juve as they were unable to move on his targets appropriately. Still not signed a contract extension.

We keep this snails pace progress in the transfer window up and we will be out of the champions league before the opening credits and struggling for 4th next season.

    Emenalo out!!!

    Time to get serious.
