Chelsea appear to be facing an uphill battle in their pursuit of Juventus left-back Alex Sandro.

According to Tuttosport, Chelsea have already lodged a £53M bid for the Brazil international, but that is not expected to be enough to convince his current employers to part with him.

Tuttosport believe that the Premier League champions may have to offer a fee in the region of £64M if they want to land the former FC Porto defender this summer – which is a hell of a lot for a left-back.

The Italian outlet believe that Chelsea also face interest from Paris Saint-Germain in the race to secure Sandro’s services, so Antonio Conte cannot waste any time if he is serious about recruiting him this summer.

If, as Tuttosport report, we have bid as high as £53M, what’s an extra £11M for signing one of the best full-backs on the planet. If we’re genuinely looking to challenge on all fronts next season, these are the sort of signings we need to be making. Get it done.

  1. I am sick and tired of these delays in signing a player. I won’t read any transfer news until deal is completed. It’s annoying and frustrating to keep hearing stories of delays, issues, fees, disagreement, renegotiation and all sort of rubbish. We have sold many players and loan out. So, what is stopping us from paying and complete transfer?

  2. Never mind our board in charge of transfers, they won’t make hay while the sun shines untill PSG grabs Sandro and MAN U grabs Bakayoko then, they’ll start pointing accusing fingers at the coach. What is obvious is that we’re not preparing at all for the challenges ahead, If the Manchester’s clubs could spend as much as they’ve spent on players then we the Champions need to spend more than that to achieve the feat of last season.

  3. what is dis rubbish u haven’t sign. bakayoko and Alex dis days especially bakayoko he has agree nah we are waiting 4 him.conte if u don’t sign him Chelsea we have problem ooo u have lose lukaku we don’t want to lose bakayoko

  4. what is stopping of signing alex sandro n bakayoko we fans are angerer @ those who r in charge of chelsea transfer we will never if these two players r not sign n conte leave chelsea then then one in charge of chelsea transfer should hold reponsible
