Chelsea lodged an enquiry over the possibility of signing Paris-Saint Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, according to L’Equipe.
Krychowiak moved to the Parc des Princes in the summer of 2016, but failed to make an impression during his debut season in Paris.
L’Equipe claim that despite the disappointing campaign that Krychowiak endured, his stock does not seem to have fallen.
The French outlet report that Chelsea made contact over the possibility of signing Krychowiak two weeks ago, but there is no suggestions that we took our interest any further.
After the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko from AS Monaco, there does not appear to be any dire need of midfield reinforcements. Signing a player who has just had the worst season of his career is probably not a good idea either.
Whether or not Chelsea return with a concrete proposal remains to be seen, but for now, it does not look as though Krychowiak will be becoming a Blue anytime soon.
