Chelsea are planning to spend £200M on reinforcements in the final two weeks of the summer transfer window, according to the Express.
The Premier League champions have already drafted in Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata this summer, but it does not appear as though Antonio Conte is content with just that.
As per the Express, Conte is plotting a stunning triple-swoop on Southampton for Virgil van Dijk, Cedric Soares and Ryan Bertrand, which the tabloid believe could cost us as much as £150M.
The Express claim that Danny Drinkwater and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also targets as Chelsea continue in their hunt for home-grown players.
It is reported that our end of transfer window splash could cost us in the region of £200M. It would be quite the statement of intent, and would do wonders for the depth of our currently thin squad. Let’s wait and see what happens in the coming days.
