The Premier League champions appear keen on signing a new left-back at the next possible opportunity. Whether that be to replace Marcos Alonso, or merely provide him with some genuine competition, remains to be seen, but our reported transfer targets likely wouldn’t be content with a spot on the bench.
As the Daily Star report, Chelsea have been continually linked with a move for Juventus defender Alex Sandro, but now there is another name in the mix.
A Bola report that Chelsea have been keeping tabs on Porto’s Alex Telles. It is believed that Telles is also on the transfer radar of both Juventus and Celtic. You’d have to fancy our chances of landing him, however, considering our financial power.
The Daily Star also quote Telles’ agent, who has openly admitted that his client could one day be a Chelsea player:
“I believe that maybe one day he will play for Chelsea. I don’t know if it’s going to be this season or the next. But I feel like one day he can play for Chelsea.”
