Alex Sandro has been urged to hand in a transfer request by Antonio Conte as Chelsea continue their pursuit of the Juventus left-back, reports the Evening Standard.
As per the Evening Standard, the Blues have already seen bids of £52M and £61M rejected by the Italian giants who are unwilling to sell one of their best defenders, especially after Leonardo Bonnuci was allowed to swap Turin for Milan this summer.
However, despite Massimiliano Allegri ruling out the sale of Alex Sandro earlier this month, the Evening Standard report that the Serie A champions are in talks with Atalanta to cut short the two-year loan deal of Leonardo Spinazzola, a left-back, one year early.
This will come as encouraging news to the Chelsea board who have been attempting to sign Alex Sandro for the duration of this summer transfer window.
Should Chelsea fail to land the Juventus defender, Antonio Conte will move for Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand or Cedric Soares, according to the Evening Standard.
