Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi remains on the transfer radar of former employers Marseille, report Inside Futbol.

Batshuayi spent two years at Marseille before his arrival at Stamford Bridge, finding the back of the net on 33 occasions.

The French giants appear to be back in the hunt for his signature. Inside Futbol cite French newspaper L’Equipe, who report that Marseille are keen to re-sign Batshuayi, but are yet to lodge a concrete proposal.

Inside Futbol note that Batshuayi is insistent that he will not tolerate another season on the Chelsea bench, which raises major question marks over his future at the club.

Batshuayi has been in fine form throughout Chelsea’s pre-season campaign, but after the arrival of Alvaro Morata, there is still no guarantees that he will be Antonio Conte’s number one choice to spearhead the attack next season.

If L’Equipe are to be believed, Marseille could be about to offer him an escape route.

We would be crazy to sell him. He is a class act, give him the chances and he will score goals.
