Ross Barkley is unsure whether or not to join Chelsea before the end of deadline day, according to the Telegraph.
As per the Telegraph, Chelsea have been in negotiations over the possibility of securing Barkley’s services before the end of the summer transfer window.
The Telegraph claim that Chelsea had a £25M bid rejected for Barkley, but have now increased that offer and opened talks with the 23-year-old on the possibility of him making the switch from Goodison Park to Stamford Bridge.
However, according to the Telegraph, Barkley is unsure whether joining Chelsea today would be a good idea. It is reported that he has just 12 months left to run on his contract, so Everton would surely be glad to receive a fee in excess of £25M.
If Barkley doesn’t want to make the move, however, there is not a lot we can do. Only time will tell if this one will happen.
