When Michy Batshuayi plays, Michy Batshuayi scores. It appears as though it’s a similar story in Chelsea training.
The Belgian is finding opportunities hard to come by at the moment, so needs to be making the most out of everything he’s getting. Despite a so-so performance against Qarabag in the Champions League, he still managed to bag a brace.
Batshuayi was given another chance to impress the onlooking coaches during Chelsea training ahead of our clash with Nottingham Forest. He managed to shrug off 17-year-old Ethan Ampadu and beat Willy Caballero and find the back of the net, and celebrated in style with a textbook knee-slide.
Chelsea posted the below video on their Instagram page. It was an emphatic finish from Batshuayi, but we think the celebration may well have been slightly O.T.T considering the context in which it was scored. They all count, though, and continuing to score goals will only improve Batshuayi’s confidence.
