Ballo’s early development
When starting his career at local team SC Chieme Linz, Ballo is said to have scored an unbelievable 200 goals. That’s according to the club’s youth team coach Peter Huemerlehner.
After joining LASK Linz’s youth team, Ballo joined Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen’s academy and spent three years there before settling at Viktoria Koln.
Having just turned 16 on Tuesday, Ballo is part of the Austrian national team’s U17 team and has been since a 14-year-old.
It’s not quite the world class signing Chelsea fans want but it’s great to see another prospect join the club.
