Real Madrid are interested in signing Chelsea left-wing-back Marcos Alonso, according to Mundo Deportivo (via the Daily Star).
Alonso is a product of Real Madrid’s academy. He actually made an appearance for Los Blancos back in 2010 – but was later sold to Bolton Wanderers.
After working his way back to the top of the football world and winning the Premier League title with Chelsea, a triumph that he played a starring role in, it looks as though his stock is on the rise once again.

It is believed that the Spanish side would attempt to convert the 27-year-old into a centre-back in a similar manner which they did with Sergio Ramos years ago.
Alonso is rough around the edges, but he’s been a great servant to the club during his time here. We ought to keep hold of him, we want to be strengthening our squad, not thinning it out.
