Nizaar Kinsella has just put up piece for the BBC about the future of Chelsea goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina.
Kinsella says the 22 year old has been “made available for sale” as he looks to get his career back on track. He has not played a single game for Chelsea since arriving from Chicago Fire in 2022.
The journalist says that “multiple clubs” have expressed an interest in Slonina, but it could be tough to get much of a fee for him given how little he’s played since arriving. He hasn’t had competitive action since December 2024.
Gaga Slonina set to leave Chelsea after 4 years of nothing

Whatever happens, we can chalk this one up as another transfer failure. It was “only” £10m, but when you start adding up the £10m and £20m failures’s you pretty quickly reach £200m.
As with the deal for Filip Jorgensen, what is so puzzling about this move was that nobody backed it even from the start. These weren’t highly rated players who didn’t work out, there were eyebrows raised from the moment the rumours came about.
In other news…
Enzo Fernandez could also be on the move this summer, but Real Madrid have another target listed which could make things tricky for the Blues.
Gary Neville is very bullish about Cole Palmer’s ability and what sort of a signing he would be for Manchester United.
