Chelsea winger Willian has once again shunned manager Antonio Conte, further insinuating at a breakdown in the pair’s relationship.
Willian was oftentimes used as a substitute by Conte, even during periods of good form. It didn’t appear to be due to a personal dislike of the Brazilian, rather he didn’t fit into the system, nor was he ever going to displace Eden Hazard.
His first heavy suggestion that he wasn’t Conte’s biggest fan came after the FA Cup final. Willian posted a celebratory photo of himself with his teammates, but covered Conte with several trophy emojis. In many ways, you have to admire the pettiness.
It’s unclear whether Conte will be managing us next season, but if he is, it’s hard to see Willian sticking around for another season. Especially after he dropped another hint that he’s fallen out with the Italian.

Unless Maurizio Sarri takes charge of Chelsea and gets to work at convincing Willian to reject interest from elsewhere, his time at Stamford Bridge may well be set to come to an end after five-years.
