You’ve probably all read various contrasting reports and rumours on the Antonio Rudiger situation over recent months, weeks, and days, and it’s really got quite silly.
In fact, on my own website, Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, every article I’ve been writing about Rudiger I have started to title ‘The Daily Rudiger’ purely because there was something new out on him every day.
It was all different stories, even some mad claims that he had already decided he is leaving Chelsea this summer and would be joining Real Madrid. There was more crazy stories today as well…
So what do we believe?
Well, as I have also been reporting on my website, Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, for some months now, I have always been told that Rudiger staying at Chelsea was looking positive despite the wages stand off. I had been told that Chelsea were still planning to negotiate with Rudiger again and were hopeful and agreement could be reached.

A source who is close to Rudiger, Christian Falk, has today confirmed that as well, and to be honest, this story here is much closer to the mark than some of the wild stuff you would have seen going around in recent weeks.
But forgetting all that, whilst watching Rudiger play, does he really look like someone who has already decided to leave Chelsea? If anything he’s been even better and putting in even more effort recently. Again, not the look of someone who is off out the door. Of course he will always remain professional and do his job I don’t doubt that. But the pure intensity, passion, and desire he plays with right now to me, looks exactly like someone who wants to stay at Chelsea.
Message to the board perhaps? Look what a difference I make, you need me, pay up!
