Nizaar Kinsella of the BBC has just written a really interesting article about Wesley Fofana and his Chelsea future.
Many fans have given up on the defender. His endless injury problems, combined with more recent poor form and displays of bad attitude have meant that patience at Stamford Bridge has worn thin.
Fofana will get yet another chance under new manager

Fofana was supposed to be the top tier, athletic, Premier League experienced centre back Chelsea needed to get them back to the top.
“Fofana was highly rated by former manager Enzo Maresca, who, according to sources, often told him privately he was “better than the others”,” Kinsella writes.
“His pace was integral to the Italian’s preferred high line and style of play.”
Sadly, Levi Colwill’s injury this season killed their partnership, and Fofana suffered from that individually as much as Chelsea did collectively. Let’s hope this coming season sees them reunite their partnership and get back to their best.

In the same piece, Kinsella notes that Chelsea “are not actively looking to sell” Fofana, but we still think they’d take an offer at £30m or above were one to come in.
Lucas Bergvall has asked to leave Tottenham, according to David Ornstein, who also confirmed that Chelsea are one of the teams who have looked at the midfielder in the past.
