Chelsea have two midfielders potentially leaving, and have two different targets on their list depending on who goes.

Our writer Simon Phillips has had an exclusive on his Substack this morning, where he talks about two midfielders Chelsea are interested in this summer.
There have been rumours that the Blues would consider selling Andrey Santos this summer. Phillips makes it clear that Chelsea “could replace Santos with Alex Scott from Bournemouth.”
He’s not the only player being linked to Chelsea though – and Santos isn’t the only one being linked away.
Wharton would be Chelsea’s Enzo replacement

Enzo Fernandez’s dreams of a move to Real Madrid seem dead after Los Blancos made a public statement that they’re not interested in the Argentine. But there are still links to other clubs. Arsenal, PSG and even Atletico Madrid have all been mentioned – although if Chelsea’s asking price has put off Madrid it’s probably going to put those teams off too.
Phillips says it’s only in the case that Enzo is going that Chelsea will pursue their other target for this summer – Adam Wharton of Crystal Palace. He’s seen as the natural Enzo replacement, and is certainly ready to step up to a Champions League club (not that that would include Chelsea this year).
He’s got the skillset, he’s got experience and room to grow – but he’s going to cost crazy money we can’t spend unless Enzo goes first.
In other news…
Alex Scott is another midfielder Chelsea are apparently pushing to sign according to Phillips.
Two Champions League clubs (still unnamed) have been linked with a Chelsea attacker the club would be happy to move on.
