Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko will not be leaving AC Milan any time soon, intermediary Federico Pastorello has claimed.
Bakayoko signed for Milan on a season-long loan in the summer in hope of reinvigorating his career. His stock fell considerably at Chelsea last season, as he struggled to replicate his AS Monaco performance level with the Blues.
This was a man who starred as Monaco lifted the Ligue 1 title. He was also named in the Champions League team of the season. He soon found himself devoid of confidence, and ultimately, quality.
Bakayoko’s loan at Milan has not started as positively as he may have hoped. As the Mirror report, there have been claims that a return to Chelsea could be on the cards. However, they have been rubbished by Federico Pastorello.
Calciomercato report that Pastorello, who worked on the deal to take Bakayoko to the San Siro, has dismissed suggestions that he could be set to return to SW6.
He’s quoted by Calciomercato saying:
“Bakayoko is happy in Milan and Milan is happy with him. It was known that it would take some time, but everyone believes that he can make a big contribution to the season of the Rossoneri.”
“So any rumours about his return to Chelsea in January are completely unfounded.”
Bakayoko’s loan at Milan may not be in any immediate danger, but if he wants to have any hope of earning a permanent move, or even a chance at rebuilding his Chelsea career, he needs to improve considerably.
