Chelsea are Premier League champions after Michy Batshuayi’s late winner was the difference in a 1-0 victory over West Brom.
Tony Pulis was present at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening as Chelsea brushed past Middlesbrough 3-0. He clearly saw an opportunity to restrict the Blues in attack, and he executed his plan very well.
Chelsea were limited to shots from distance, with just four of our 22 efforts on goal hitting the target. Diego Costa had four of those, Eden Hazard three – but neither were able to find the back of Ben Foster’s net.
However, Michy Batshuayi was brought on as a substitute late-on, and etched his name into the Chelsea hall of fame. Batshuayi fired home from close range to secure Chelsea a fifth Premier League title. You can see his decisive goal here.
Chelsea are champions for the second time in three years, and despite Batshuayi’s winner, there’s only one man to thank for it – Conte. He stepped into a side that finished tenth, and turned them into winners – title winners. Let me say it one more time – CHELSEA ARE CHAMPIONS!
