Antonio Conte has revealed Emerson Palmieri is unavailable for the FA Cup final with Manchester United on Saturday.
Emerson has been in Conte’s recent line-ups due to Marcos Alonso serving a three-match suspension. However, it appears the January signing from Roma will be on the sidelines at Wembley.
When speaking to reporters on Friday, the Chelsea head coach gave no hints as to what his starting eleven will be against United but conceded that Emerson is out for the cup final.
Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella shared this quote from Conte’s press conference:
Conte on Courtois: “I don’t want to give you the starting eleven! Tomorrow, you will see. We have only Emerson out. Then no news.” #CFC #FACupFinal

Along with losing Emerson to injury, there’s been nothing to suggest Danny Drinkwater, David Luiz and Ethan Ampadu will recover sooner rather than later, as PhysioRoom reports.
Although Emerson isn’t an integral part of the squad, the Italian has shown glimpses of promise since joining the club midway through the season.
