The B-list is used by clubs to make their younger players available for Europa League fixtures. We expected both players to be involved at some point during the competition, but Chelsea adding them so soon before the PAOK clash this Thursday could indicate that they will get minutes on the pitch during the game.
Both Bulka and Hudson-Odoi were heavily involved for Chelsea during pre-season. The latter was even handed a start against Manchester City in the Community Shield, but Maurizio Sarri has overlooked him since.
Our Europa League group, all due respect to our opponents, is on the weak side. Hudson-Odoi in particular is well worthy of an opportunity to impress. If his past performances are anything to go by, he’ll grab it with both hands and use it as another platform to showcase his talent and potential.
