Chelsea agree terms with manager to replace Conte – but there’s a major twist

Chelsea have reportedly agreed terms with former Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc over replacing Antonio Conte. However, the Blues are still thought to be favouring Maurizio Sarri.

It seems bizarre that Conte is, at least officially, still our manager. His exit has been a foregone conclusion for some time now. Many have been counting down the days until his departure. Judging by his demeanour for the majority of last season, he may well have been as well.

Chelsea have not wasted any time hunting for an alternative. Italian outlet Sportitalia report that Laurent Blanc has agreed terms with Chelsea to replace Conte. However, we are still thought to be keen to poach Maurizio Sarri from Napoli.

We’re not sure what our board’s strategy is here, if there even is one. One way or another, we reckon that we’ll have a clearer idea of who will be managing us next season within the next fortnight.

We still need Conte. CFC is becoming almost hire n sack manager every season. We cannot build a winning team by sacking every season. A very BAD MENTALITY. STOP THAT WHOEVER IS RESPONSIBLE

I reckon it’s a free fall situation at Chelsea. Inspires no confidence at all. Confusion reigns
