Chelsea are set to go head-to-head with Arsenal in the race to appoint manager Carlo Ancelotti, according to the Express.
The Chelsea faithful will have only fond memories of Ancelotti. He won the Premier League title during his debut season at Stamford Bridge, setting a new division record for the number of goals scored by a team in a single campaign.

However, after falling short the following season, Roman Abramovich swung the axe and Ancelotti was dismissed.
The Italian’s compatriot, Antonio Conte, appears to be following in his footsteps. Conte led Chelsea to a Premier League title triumph last time around, but his long-term future at the club appears to be in doubt following the deterioration of his relationship with the board and a sharp downturn in results.

Could Ancelotti return and become Chelsea manager once again? The Express believe so, but Arsenal, who are (finally) seeking Arsene Wenger’s successor, will provide us with stern competition. Let’s wait and see…
