Chelsea have announced the signing of England international Danny Drinkwater on the club’s official website.
Drinkwater is yet to play a minute of Premier League action this term has he has been struggling with an injury, but has proven that he is top-tier calibre over the past few campaigns with Leicester.
During his side’s title-triumph in the 2015/16 campaign, his rock-solid partnership with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante was influential their success. The pair are set to be reunited at Stamford Bridge, and it seems unlikely that we’ll have to wait long to see them in action together once more.
Drinkwater has also made three appearances for the England national team, which is testament to his progress as a player. At 27-years-old, he is just entering is prime years, and will only continue to develop under the stewardship of Antonio Conte.
