‘It’s time to move on’ – Chelsea fan starts ‘campaign’ to get rid of club captain Gary Cahill

Gary Cahill had a day to forget as Chelsea drew with Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, but Blues fans on social media are taking the abuse a little bit too far.

Many took to twitter following the game to share their discontent at the England international’s performance. We collated some of the harshest comments and condensed them into one article – you can see that by clicking here.

Tweeting criticism of the club captain was not enough for some, however. Twitter user @IdoloHazard decided it was time to take action against Cahill, and has started a ‘campaign’ of sorts to have the 31-year-old omitted from the side.

He posted the below photo BEFORE the game against Arsenal, you have to imagine Cahill’s performance only fuelled his anger. At the time of writing, the tweet has been retweeted over 150 times. It looks as though the Chelsea faithful are fast turning on their club captain…

He tried against #AFC bit if #JT can sit on z bench then so can cahill. Its time to unleash Rudiger
