Chelsea have been linked with a surprise move for Spartak Moscow sensation Fernando in a potential transfer tussle with Tottenham and Everton, The Sun reports.
The Brazilian midfielder has emerged onto the big stage having represented the Russian side in the Champions League.
According to the tabloid newspaper, Fernando, who has also acquired interest from Spain, is valued at £22m by his club and is eager to play in a top European league next season.

A move to Tottenham at this stage may seem more appealing with their hopes of being in the Champions League greater than the Blues. However, the chance to be a part of Chelsea’s potential new-look squad next season could provide an exciting challenge for the 26-year-old.
Fernando would also have the opportunity to play next to N’Golo Kante as Danny Drinkwater’s time at Stamford Bridge may be cut short as the Englishman has struggled for game time in his first season at the club.
Even though it may seem like a wildcard signing, Fernando may be the answer to finding balance in the middle of the park for the Blues.
