We have an update to bring you on the condition of the injured Thibaut Courtois as the days tick down towards our vital clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Premier League champions lock-horns with their arch-rivals at Stamford Bridge after the international break. We go into the game knowing that only three-points will do in our pursuit of Champions League qualification.
Courtois suffered a muscle injury prior to our clash with Leicester City in the FA Cup. Concerns were raised that the Belgian will not be fit and available to feature in the London derby at Stamford Bridge.
Football London‘s latest report ought to ease those fears. Courtois is not training with the rest of the Belgium squad while on international duty, but Roberto Martinez has no intention of sending him back to Cobham.
This suggests that Courtois is not far away from full fitness, and it may be safe to assume that he has a fighting chance of facing Tottenham. Great news!
If Thibaut Courtois is fit to face Tottenham, who would you start between the sticks?
