Another night of international football, another injury problem for a Chelsea player.

Thankfully for Antonio Conte, this one will not affect him directly, but it could prove to be a major headache for managerial counterpart Roy Hodgson.
Academy product Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is spending the 2017/18 campaign on-loan at Crystal Palace, hobbled off after 34 minutes with what appeared to be a back injury.

It was clear to see that Loftus-Cheek would not be able to continue soon after the impact, but only time will tell how serious an injury it is, and how long he will be sidelined for – if at all.
Positives to be taken
Although Loftus-Cheek’s first senior international experience did not end how he would have liked, all signs are positive.
