Chelsea have suffered an injury setback during the international break – sigh.

This time of year brings very little positive from a fan’s perspective. No club football, injury struggles, and very little to write about if you’re a Chelsea blogger.
That is unless one of our players suffers a foot injury while away with Belgium on international duty, which is what happened on Thursday evening.
Don’t fear Chelsea fans, it’s not Eden Hazard, but the Premier League champions may be without Michy Batshuayi for our upcoming set of fixtures depending on the severity of the injury, as injury expert Ben Dinnery revealed.
Michy Batshuayi has returned to Chelsea for further tests after picking up a foot injury. The striker had an x-ray and will play no part in either friendly match against Mexico or Japan. #CFC

Uh, oh…
We thought we were past these injury struggles after the recovery of N’Golo Kante and Alvaro Morata – apparently not.
The positive to take from this is that it appears to be an impact injury, rather than another muscle injury caused by fatigue.
Let’s hope it’s nothing too serious and Michy gets back to full fitness as soon as possible.
