- Pedro forced off during first-half at Burnley through injury.
- Eden Hazard is also out injured with a back problem.
- WATCH: Morata gives Chelsea the lead with cool finish
Chelsea suffered an injury blow during today’s clash with Burnley at Turf Moor, with Pedro being forced off in the first-half.
The Spaniard has already been forced to battle through injury so far this term. He hobbled off during our trip to PAOK back in September.
Pedro is fit again and was named in Maurizio Sarri’s starting eleven to face Burnley, in the absence of Eden Hazard, who is also injured.
However, mid-way through the first-half of today’s game, during which compatriot Alvaro Morata gave Chelsea the lead, it became clear that Pedro couldn’t continue.
He was subsequently taken off the field, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek, fresh off a hat-trick against BATE midweek, coming on in his place.
We eagerly await further news of Pedro’s condition. Especially with Hazard out with a back problem, we could do without him being sidelined for any considerable period of time.
In the meantime, COME ON CHELSEA!
