Three Chelsea players from the first team have been included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad in light of three World Cup qualifiers in the coming two weeks.
Mason Mount, Reece James and Ben Chilwell have all been chosen to represent the senior 26-man squad. The upcoming international break will see the Chelsea squad receive a much-needed break after tough fixtures throughout the last couple of months.
The World Cup qualifiers Group stage matches will see England face San Marino on March 25 on Matchday 1, before going on to face Albania on March 28. The Three Lions finish their WC Qualifiers on March 31 with a clash against Poland.
Earlier in the week, three U21 Chelsea players – Callum Hudson-Odoi, Marc Guehi, and Conor Gallagher were called up to the England youth squad for the U21 European Championship to be co-hosted by Hungary & Slovenia.
