Chelsea have three players unavailable for today’s trip to Crystal Palace, which could force Maurizio Sarri into changes in attack.
Sarri will have been to stick with Eden Hazard as a false 9 after the Belgian’s brace against Watford midweek. It may prove difficult to keep him there today.
As Physio Room report, both Pedro and Callum Hudson-Odoi are ruled out with respective muscle injuries. That leaves Sarri with Willian as the only other available natural winger, but there is a potential solution.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek impressed out-wide against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup. He’s also due a Premier League start, so this ought to be an opportunity for him to show Sarri what he can do down the channel.
Andreas Christensen is also ruled out, though we wouldn’t expect Sarri to rotate his centre-backs in a game which we desperately need to take all three points from.
We believe Chelsea’s starting eleven will look something like this. What do you think, Blues? Could this get the job done at Selhurst Park?
