Eden Hazard has insisted that he will not be making a decision on his Chelsea future until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
Hazard has been one of the players of the season so far. He’s been enjoying his best campaign in terms of goals and assists since he signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2012.
Following our win over Watford midweek, Hazard said that he was hoping to emulate the likes of John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba in becoming a legend at this club. We took that as confirmation that he was staying.
However, Hazard has rained on our parade by adding that he has yet to make a decision on his future, and won’t be until the current campaign draws to a close.
He’s quoted by Goal saying:
“I am just focused on the pitch. I will see at the end of the season.”
Maurizio Sarri said on Friday that he wanted this situation resolved soon. It doesn’t look as though that’s going to happen. Come on, Eden, just sign the bloody contract!
