Fabrizio Romano responds to whether Lampard is under pressure at Chelsea

Chelsea are currently in a run of only picking up four points from their last five games with pressure seemingly mounting on Frank Lampard and his team.

There have been rumours circulating that Chelsea are considering replacing their manager if they fail to win any of their next games, but reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on the speculation on the Here We Go podcast by confirming that the Blues will stick with Lampard and are not looking to change manager any time soon.

Romano claimed that the Stamford Bridge outfit have not made any contact with any prospective replacement, but the board are looking to see an improvement on the pitch.

It is reassuring to know that the Chelsea board is backing Lampard. With more than half the starting eleven being players who just arrived at the club, time needs to be given for his coaching team to fully integrate them into the team.

Signings like Timo Werner and Kai Havertz were convinced to join based on a three-year plan by Lampard, and he must be given time to prove himself and win trophies with this side. (The Athletic)
