The first flurry of Chelsea players are returning to our Cobham training ground for the start of pre-season, without knowing who will be leading the training.
Cesc Fabregas, who worked for the BBC as part of their punditry lineup for this summer’s World Cup, posted the below images on his Instagram story of him receiving a massage at Cobham.
Fabregas previously revealed on Twitter that he couldn’t wait to get back to work and start playing football again. Though, he probably expected to return to the club under better circumstances.
You can not even believe how much I’m looking forward to it. I’ve never had more than 30 days holiday in 15 years, now I’m on day 45 and is not even fun anymore. Only a few days to go now, I can’t wait! https://t.co/RuHQZ90Qzg

Antonio Conte’s future as Chelsea manager remains in doubt, with Maurizio Sarri still expected to replace him. However, pre-season is set to begin and nothing has been finalised.
Conte appears prepared to lead Chelsea’s pre-season campaign, but this would likely be against the wishes of the club and much of the dressing room.
It’s all a bit of a mess. It’s all very Chelsea.
