Pep Guardiola has confirmed that both Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne will be forced to sit out Manchester City’s trip to Stamford Bridge this evening.
The task ahead looked daunting for Chelsea, especially having suffered two defeats in our last three Premier League fixtures. Though we would never wish injury upon a footballer, we need all the help we can get.
No tears will be shed for Aguero and former Blue De Bruyne, who will be forced to watch one of the biggest games of their team’s season from the sidelines.

Aguero is a modern nemesis for Chelsea. Not only due to his good scoring record against us, but also following two disgusting challenges he has made on David Luiz over the years. There’s definitely some old fashioned Argentina vs. Brazil rivalry there.
As for De Bruyne, we’d love to beat City with him in the team, but the fact that one of the best players in the Premier League will not be facing up against us can only be seen as a positive.
