We have been provided with the most concrete suggestion to date that Antonio Conte will not be managing Chelsea come the start of next season.
Speculation over the Italian’s future at Stamford Bridge has been relentless. There were claims that he could have walked out in the summer over Chelsea’s lack of transfer activity. He did, however, opt to stay put.
After a downturn in performances and further transfer related frustrations, Conte now appears to be headed for the exit door in SW6. Reliable Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano believes that he knows where his compatriot could be heading.
Romano’s latest report for the Guardian claims that Ligue 1 heavyweights PSG have opened talks with Conte’s representatives over the possibility of him replacing Unai Emery as manager at the season’s end.
