Real Madrid will use the tension surrounding Chelsea as a way to lure goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to the Spanish capital this summer.
That’s according to the Mirror, who report the La Liga giants are ready to pounce on signing the unsettled Courtois, who has just a year left on his current Chelsea deal.
Confirmation that the Blues won’t be playing in the Champions League next season as well as stalls over a new contract for the Belgian goalkeeper has indicated Courtois is ready to leave the club.
That’s all despite the fact the 25-year-old said in March that he would still be at Chelsea next season, however, that’s brought up suggestions that Courtois may run down his contract in order to leave on a free in the summer of 2019.

The Blues may be more in favour of squeezing as much money as they can for Courtois in the coming months rather than letting him leave on his terms.
In the past, shot-stoppers such as AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma and Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak have been rumoured to succeed Courtois as the team’s first choice keeper.
Whilst Chelsea are heading into a potential squad overhaul, keeping hold of current star players is a necessity for the club as well as making new signings.

Good riddance. He’s never been a true blue.
