England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek may make a final decision on his Chelsea future as soon as tomorrow night.
Loftus-Cheek has been in and out of the side this term, despite impressing on almost every opportunity that he has been provided with by manager Maurizio Sarri.
The latest of Ruben’s impressive cameos came on Sunday afternoon in the derby against Fulham. The Chelsea academy product entered the fray in the second half and ended the game with a goal to his name – pardon the poetry.
Loftus-Cheek has scored more goals this season than Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic combined. Let’s not beat around the bush here, he deserves to start, and he agrees with us.
According to the Telegraph, he may well decide whether to leave Chelsea on loan in January based on whether he gets the nod against Wolves tomorrow night.
We’ll have to wait and see whether Loftus-Cheek gets what would be a well deserved start. There’ll be no shortage of interest in taking him on loan if Sarri continues to overlook him, that’s for sure.
