Willian has not got a lot of love from Chelsea fans recently, understandably so.
Not only have his performances of late not been good enough to justify his continual selection, but he’s also prohibiting Callum Hudson-Odoi from being given the regular game-time that he deserves.
Maurizio Sarri needs to wake up to the reality that Willian isn’t good enough, and stats like these may well be what he needs to be shown in order for him to realise.

Both Hudson-Odoi and Pedro have proven themselves to be much more direct and effective options out-wide, which ought to be enough to convince Sarri to drop Willian as Chelsea struggle to find the back of the net.
A new striker is absolutely necessary, but even his goals will not be enough if we are unable to score goals regularly from the wide areas. We will not be able to achieve that if Sarri continues to pick Willian.
