Olivier Giroud joined an illustrious group after scoring for France against Colombia on Friday night.
The Frenchman joined Premier League champions Chelsea from Arsenal in the winter. He has scored just one goal since his arrival, but was entrusted by Antonio Conte to lead the line at the Nou Camp.
Giroud, regardless of his yo-yoing performances at club-level, has always performed on the international stage. He continued his good form for the French national team against Colombia.
After a sloppy piece of goalkeeping from former Gunners teammate David Ospina, Giroud fired into the roof of the net to bag his 30th goal for his country.
He is now the seventh player in the history of the French national team to score 30 goals. Giroud draws level with Jean-Pierre Papin and Just Fontaine in the all-time goal scoring rankings for Les Bleus.
