Willian may concern some Chelsea fans with his recent comments on Callum Hudson-Odoi, notably those within the fan base who want the Brazilian dropped (which is quite a few).

Willian may be a decorated member of our squad in terms of the silverware he’s won as a Blue, but football fans have notoriously short memories, and many have forgotten the good times with the 30-year-old in a Chelsea shirt.

He’s become a scapegoat, with many on Twitter calling for him to be replaced by Hudson-Odoi in the starting eleven. We don’t see that change on the horizon just yet, but Willian looks to be keeping his competitors close.

Willian is quoted by the Telegraph revealing that he has tried to pass on some of his knowledge to Hudson-Odoi, noting that he’s also offered to be his agent in the future:

“Of course I give him advice. I think we have to do it. The players that are here a long time do this a lot for the younger players. I’ve already told him that I will be his agent in the future.”

Hudson-Odoi is arguably more of a goal threat than Willian, even at his tender age. We hope his mercurial nature doesn’t fade with age. As for the agent comment, considering Willian’s suspect decision making at times, it’s probably best he looks elsewhere.
