Gary Cahill Gary Cahill

Chelsea have the perfect chance to say sentimental goodbye to fan favourite

Gary Cahill has suddenly found himself frozen out at Chelsea this season, after years as a dependable regular.

He arrived at the club with little fanfare, and it looks like he will go that way too, with West Ham the latest club to be linked with a move for the defender once his contract expires this summer.

In the meantime, however, there are still games to play, including one at Stamford Bridge tomorrow which is really a dead rubber for us. We have the lead against a limited Slavia Prague team, and Maurizio Sarri is expected to rotate heavily.

With Antonio Rudiger out injured, that might mean a space for Cahill to finally get some minutes again. That would really be perfect – as he’s unlikely to play for us again after this. The chance for the fans at the Bridge to get a chance to say goodbye to a player who has been a stalwart at the club through some really productive years would be really appreciated by the Chelsea fans.
