Antonio Conte

Chelsea face Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night in the third round of the EFL Cup.

On the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw against Arsenal, we can expect Antonio Conte to shuffle his pack ahead of the weekend’s visit to Stoke City.

Following the stalemate with the Gunners, the London Evening Standard reported Conte hinting that several youngsters could get a chance against Forest after impressing in training. Charly Musonda, who didn’t even make the bench at the weekend, could be one of those to benefit.

Andreas Christensen may also be handed his third start of his Chelsea career, and there could be a few to follow with David Luiz set to sit out the Blues’ next three fixtures after being sent off against Arsenal.

We’re not expecting Conte to name a particularly strong starting eleven with the busy period that lies ahead, but we have more than enough quality in reserve to get the job done.

Here’s how TalkChelsea predict we will line up against Nottingham Forest:

Caballero; Rudiger, Christensen, Cahill; Zappacosta, Bakayoko, Kante, Kenedy; Musonda, Hazard, Batshuayi.
