There’s no denying the fact that Eden Hazard is easily the most valuable player at Chelsea. The Belgian international star’s creative influence at the club has been immense, to say the least.

Ever since he arrived at Chelsea from Lille 6 years ago in 2012 for a paltry £ 32 million, he has evolved from being a promising player into a world-class one. Even Cesc Fabregas believes that Hazard can be Chelsea’s best player ever.

His gradual progression into the player he has become today has also drawn a transfer interest from none other than Real Madrid, who is willing to pay as much as £ 100 million for the talented 27 year old. What more, they’re even throwing in Gareth Bale with that offer!

Many punters are now speculating whether that move would actually happen or not. If you too are interested in betting on football transfer markets, or football in general, you must start by using the best free bet offers on the Internet. Interested? You can find them here.

A dicey situation for the club

Eden Hazard’s present contract with Chelsea will run out in 2020 and the club is desperate to extend his tenure. In the event that the Belgian decides to part ways in the next few months, Chelsea would be at risk of letting him go at a substantially lower fee in the next year’s summer window.

He is presently employed at around £200,000 per week, but can easily expect a major jump in that figure, especially after having a good outing in the ongoing FIFA World Cup. Many perceive Belgium as a dark horse in the tournament because of the presence of prominent names like Romelu Lukaku and Hazard.

Has put forth some demands

Chelsea had a disastrous English Premier League season in 2017-18, finishing outside of the top 4 for the 2nd time in the past 5 years. As a result they haven’t made it to the group stages of the Champions League. Forget about the revenue losses, Chelsea is most worried about losing Eden Hazard to big clubs like Real Madrid.

Hazard has also taken account of the situation and has put forth some demands that he wants fulfilled, in order to continue his stay at the Stamford Bridge. And unsurprisingly, his demands aren’t to do with the wages. He has asked Chelsea to bring world-class players on board, so that they can get back to their winning ways once again.

Press statement

Talking to the press in this regard, Eden Hazard said,

“I’m waiting for new players next season. I want good players because I want to win the Premier League next season. We’re Chelsea. We need trophies at the end of the season.”

“At the moment we have nothing. We have not qualified for the Champions League. So the season has been bad. If we can’t be in the Champions League we need the trophy. It’s up to us to save the season with the FA Cup.”

“I’ve never won the FA Cup. I hope this year is for me and for Chelsea. We will give everything.”

If Belgium continue to play in the World Cup tournament like they have in the group stages, Hazard’s bargaining position will get further strengthened, and it’ll get very difficult for Chelsea to get out of that situation.
