Chelsea have produced some great players though their youth academy over the years such as John Terry, Robert Huth and Scott Sinclair.

But some of the quality that we currently have coming through the system is a very exciting prospect for us Chelsea supporters. Below we’ll look at four of the most exciting young prospects that are currently part of the club.

Ethan Ampadu

This Welsh wonder kid has a certainly has a bright future ahead of him, he’s made 5 appearances this season for the first team which is really impressive considering he’s just 17 years old!

It was made clear that the young man is going to be special when he played against Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarter-final when he impressed everyone completing 87 of his 88 passes and picking up the man of the match award.

He plays in the CB position but is also comfortable in the midfield role, but no matter where he’s playing he’s hard to miss on the pitch due to his David Luiz esc hair.

Charly Musonda

Musonda recently signed his long-term contract extension with the club in December of last year. However, the 21-year-old has seen little game time this year playing 35 minutes in the Premier League.

He needs more playing time to develop into the player that we know he could be so has been sent out on loan to Celtic. If he lives up to his potential, he could definitely be one of the main men at Chelsea in years to come.

The 21-year old Brazilian left back has made 5 appearances for Chelsea this season in both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup even managing to score a goal. He is a versatile player who is able to play in multiple positions and has a great left foot on him.

Kenedy has just been loaned out to Newcastle United for the rest of the season which is great news as he’ll be able to get some game time in the premier league and hopefully show us that he’s capable of being a future star of the Chelsea squad.

Tammy Abraham

Another graduate from the Chelsea academy, Tammy Abraham made a couple of appearances for Chelsea back in 2016 before going on loan to Bristol city and more recently Swansea where he has made a combined 61 appearances and scored 27 goals.

The 20-year-old plays as a striker and despite only scoring 4 goals so far in the Premier League he is showing great potential to be the future Chelsea front man.
