How Chelsea’s Europa League goals can help them reach the Premier League top 4

Chelsea beat Dynamo Kiev 5-0 in Ukraine tonight, and it’s no surprise to see tons of smiles back on the players’ faces.

It’s been a tough start to 2019 for everyone at the club, and it made a big difference to have a morale boosting win like this that sees the club into the final stages of this competition.

Not only are we now one step closer to lifting the trophy, and earning a Champions League place in the process, we also look to have injected a fresh wave of enthusiasm into the squad at a vital moment.

The next few weeks will see up battle for our top 4 place tooth and nail, and while these Europa League goals won’t count in that competition, the good vibes we accumulated on this trip will take us into that period on a high.

Maurizio Sarri’s future hangs by a thread, yet this could still turn into a really successful season. Football is a funny sport, isn’t it?
