Juventus left-back Alex Sandro is close to becoming a Chelsea player, according to Calciomercato.
Calciomercato believe that the Blues had a £52M opening bid rejected last week, but will now raise their offer to £61M. In the meantime, the Italian outlet believe that Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Sandro, who has rejected the opportunity to extend his Juventus deal in order to force through a move to Stamford Bridge.
As per Calciomercato, Sandro has made it clear to his current employers that he wants to join Chelsea this summer, and he may well get his wish, as Calciomercato note that Massimiliano Allegri is already looking at potential replacements.
Marcos Alonso had a good season at left-wing-back, but Sandro is one of the best players in his position on the planet, and the opportunity to sign him was one that we simply not not allow to pass by. If Calciomercato are to be believed, it looks as though this transfer is going to happen.
