Reports in Spain claim that Barcelona didn’t bid for Willian, nor are they interested in signing the Brazilian.
News broke on Friday that Barcelona had lodged a £50M bid for Willian. Chelsea opted to snub the bid, having shown no willingness to part with the 29-year-old this summer.
Manchester United are also being heavily linked with Willian. Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer and thought to be keen on reuniting with him at Old Trafford.
Barcelona’s reported interest will have caused great concern among those who are hoping to see Willian stay at Stamford Bridge this summer.
However, Blues fans, you have nothing to fear. Spanish publication Sport, who have close ties to Barcelona, claim that the club never made a bid to sign him.
In fact, Sport believe that Barca are not even interested in signing him this summer. If true, we will only have to fend off interest from Man United.
